Excessive presence of sand in wastewater can be solved by separating it with desanders: sand settles in the bottom of the hopper and is evacuated through the Archimedean screw.

The desander performance allows a separation of up to 90% of sand (this value refers to sand in clean water).
The desander must be protected from the introduction of grease, oils and other floating materials in general which must be hold upstream in order to maintain the machine’s constant and correct operation.
